Based in Montego Bay, Jamaica, I have photographed destination weddings throughout the island for over 12 years, capturing celebrations at luxury resorts, private villas, beachfront venues, and intimate elopements.

How does the Sandals outside photographer policy work?
Sandals allows couples to bring in an outside photographer by either paying the resort's outside vendor fee or booking one double-occupancy room for Denise Mason Photography & Associates' required 3-night stay, as permitted under Sandals' outside photographer policy. As our way of saying thank you, couples who choose the room option will receive complimentary 2-hour coverage of either their Welcome Party or Rehearsal Dinner. This benefit is limited to one event (maximum 2 consecutive hours) and is subject to photographer availability.
If we choose to pay the Sandals vendor fee instead of booking the 3 night stay, do we get a discount on our photo collection?
No. Our wedding collections remain the same regardless of which Sandals option you choose. The complimentary Welcome Party or Rehearsal Dinner coverage is an exclusive benefit offered only when the required 3-night stay is selected in accordance with Sandals' outside photographer policy.
How far in advance should we book our Jamaica wedding photographer?
Most destination wedding couples book 8–18 months before their wedding date. Popular dates and peak wedding seasons can fill quickly, so I recommend reaching out as soon as you've secured your venue.
Do you photograph weddings outside Montego Bay?
Yes. While I'm based in Montego Bay, I photograph weddings throughout Jamaica, including Negril, Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay, Kingston, Port Antonio, and other locations across the island.
Do you photograph elopements and intimate weddings in Jamaica?
Absolutely. Whether you're planning a private beach elopement for two or an intimate celebration with close family and friends, I offer collections designed for weddings of all sizes.
Can you help us plan our wedding photography timeline?
Yes. After booking, I'll work with you to create a photography-friendly timeline that allows enough time for portraits, family photographs, and all the meaningful moments throughout your wedding day.
How many wedding photos will we receive?
The number of images depends on the collection you choose and the events being photographed. Most couples receive hundreds of professionally edited images that tell the complete story of their wedding day.
Have you photographed at our venue before?
I've photographed weddings at many of Jamaica's most popular wedding venues, including Half Moon, Tryall Club, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Round Hill Hotel & Villas, Sandals Resorts, Royalton Blue Waters, and more. If your venue is new to me, I arrive early to scout locations and make the most of the setting.
Do you offer engagement sessions in Jamaica?
Yes. Engagement sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate your upcoming wedding and become more comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day
How do we reserve our wedding date?
To secure your date, a signed contract and a 35% non-refundable retainer are required. Once both are received, your wedding date is officially reserved.
Do you work with destination wedding couples planning from overseas?
Yes. Most of my couples live in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom and are planning their wedding from abroad. I guide couples through the photography process before they arrive in Jamaica and remain available throughout the planning process.
